The use of natural materials, such as afromosia, natural stone and parquet, prevailed in the design. It is with mixed feelings that I say goodbye to this house, in which I experienced so many wonderful moments. I can enjoy every spot of this house immensely, and in every place you get another view of the garden. Most of all, I enjoy the new kitchen with its round view of the garden. You will also often find me at the window, where I like to read a book or observe the many birds. Here you live surrounded by greenery, while getting everywhere quickly by bike. It takes me fifteen minutes to cycle into Ghent via the green Scheldedijk, and I even go to the shops on foot.
