owner speaks out

'As seasoned city people and Antwerp natives, we ended up in quiet Meerdonk by chance fifty years ago. But what a relief! So much nature all around, and yet close to the main cities.... Here every day of the year you can fully enjoy bicycle trips on the Dutch bike paths, to the Drowned Land of Saefthinge, but also the peace and quiet and walks close to home.
It turned out to be a blissful place for our children to grow up - with elementary school and hobbies nearby and plenty of room to play - and for us, too, it was always blissful coming home after the hustle and bustle of a working day. Even when our professional situation changed, we did not want to leave Meerdonk and decided to renovate these homes.
In 2012, when our children were out of the house, the house received another total renovation, focused on luxurious materials and comfort, such as the elevator we installed.
It is wonderful to wake up in the bedroom and bathroom with large windows facing east and south. And in sunny weather, right from your bed to the terrace or a coffee in the breakfast nook or living room.... Fantastic!
I cannot pinpoint one favorite spot or feature of this house... The large, bright rooms with high ceilings, my beautiful dressing room, the well-organized bright kitchen, even the built-in cupboards, the linen room and handy parking spaces for the whole family - I will miss everything.
