Does the Canal Site still need an introduction? This impressive redevelopment project resides in an old liqueur distillery, along the Albert Canal between Wijnegem and Schilde. The inspirers: Axel Vervoordt and son Dick. The aim: sustainable reintegration of industrial heritage combining living, working, services and culture, surrounded by water and the green Schijnvallei. Axel Vervoordt's restoration studios are also located on the site. 

A selected team of top architects was appointed for the newly built Cubes (arch. BOGDAN & VAN BROECK), the Silos of the old malting factory (Stéphane Beel) and Warehouses (Coussée & Goris Architects). Paysagiste Michel Desvigne provided the landscape plan, Jens Aerts the sustainable architectural master plan. The nice balance between housing, offices, restaurant and art ensures a fine diversity of people and activities. Easily accessible via E34, exit Wommelgem, with plenty of parking in the street. And during your lunch break you can immediately enjoy an inspiring walk or bike ride in the greenery.

Working becomes a pleasure in these third-floor silos. The architectural aspect is immediately striking. First silo with reception area, guest toilet, cloakroom and bathroom with shower (handy for those who cycle to work!). Further on, a large room with lots of light, nice views, and a wall containing fridge, sink, coffee corner and space for TV or beamer. Two more Silos are now fitted out as meeting rooms
