Since the street was repaved, Lange Koepoortstraat has undoubtedly been considered one of the city's hippest streets. Now it is a pleasant shopping street with lots of nice terraces. Right in the historical heart of Antwerp, close to Grote Markt, Groenplaats, shops, nice little shops and trendy restaurants, at walking distance from the MAS, Scheldt quays, Central Station and Eilandje. 

This modernist office building immediately catches the eye in the streetscape. In 1938, it was designed by Rotterdam architectural firm Brinkman & Van den Broek. After the turn of the century, it was repurposed and renamed ‘Glass House’, a handsome residential residence with commercial space. After a thorough and sweeping renovation by architecture firm Conix Architects in 2006 and 2007, the building was officially handed over in 2009.

On the second floor, you will find this stunning one-bedroom flat. In recent years it has mainly been used as a very successful Airbnb, but it is also perfectly suitable as a pied-à-terre or to live in by yourself. Either way, this is a hit: natural daylight pours in abundantly both front and back, and the combination of raw concrete with warm parquet creates a stylishly cool vibe. The sleek design in the kitchen and the many large storage cupboards do the rest. The large extra storage room and the cool terrace are also nice surpluses, but the best bonus is that all the furniture is included in the asking price.
