For the summer edition of our Dôme Event, we headed to Knokke on Thursday 18 August. Besides selling homes with personality, we all share a passion for architecture, interior design and aesthetics! It was therefore a logical step to share this passion with our guests. Where better than in the 'Dr De Beir house' designed by Huib Hoste, one of Belgium's great Modernist architects!

We welcomed our guests with a delicious cocktail from Hannah Van Ongevalle, the inspirer of The Pharmacy, awarded 'Best Belgian Bartender' in 2014 and currently active as a TV host. Then it was time for a tour with our guide, Danny Lannoy, who explained the history about this unique property. Given the large turnout, no fewer than three tours were organised.

To top it off, everyone could enjoy the exhibition Magellan, an initiative of Atelier Ecru Gallery and Barbé Urbain from Ghent.

Dwelling De Beir is an iconic building considered the foundational work of modern architecture in Flanders. This house was built by Huib Hoste on behalf of the artistic doctor De Beir. The interior is the result of a collaboration with painter and interior designer Sevranckx. The house consists of three floors with a geometric and functionalist volume. Hoste took the opportunity to experiment with the construction of the building and the choice of colours.

Under a clear blue sky, our guests enjoyed drinks at the reception after the architectural tour and there was time to explore the exhibitions! It was a super successful event with top summer weather, delicious drinks and good company, all connected by a passion for architecture!
