The Harmonie district with its many 19th-century mansion and middle-class houses, the Harmonie park, apartment buildings, a hospital and the provincial building is an attractive residential area in the district of Antwerp. The park has been refurbished, the memorial in honour of Peter Benoit restored and the district house opened its doors in the "Harmonie" hall.
The route of the walk in the Harmonie district starts at Harmonie, via Harmoniestraat, Peter Benoitstraat, Gounodstraat, Verdussenstraat, Jan Blockxstraat, Vinkenstraat and Van Schoonbekestraat to Café Kamiel. Neoclassical style by Pierre and Charles Dens from 1890, art-nouveau cottage houses by Emile Vereecken to buildings by Joseph Hertogs in eclectic style are among the places to visit.
