Immodôme warmly invites you to a special neighborhood walk through “The Other Zurenborg,” led by certified city guide Alex Elaut.
Many visitors know Zurenborg for the iconic Cogels-Osylei, but the area around Dageraadplaats also holds a treasure trove of remarkable buildings and forgotten stories. On this day, you can choose between two guided walks, each with its own focus.
As great lovers of architecture, we at Immodôme are passionate about homes with personality—houses with architectural, historical, or aesthetic value. Driven by this passion, we are delighted to take you on a discovery tour through this lesser-known yet equally fascinating part of your neighborhood.
Morning walk – Architecture & Synagogue
Departure: 10:30 AM sharp – Oostenstraat 43
This walk highlights the architecture around Dageraadplaats, with a special visit to the Machziké Hadass synagogue.
Synagogue guide Naftuli Pollak will share the history of this unique place, designed by Zurenborg architect Jules Hofman.
Afternoon walk – Architecture & Exhibition
Departure: 2:00 PM sharp – Dageraadplaats, at the entrance of Sint-Norbertus Church
During this afternoon walk, we will also explore the rich architecture of the neighborhood, starting with a brief visit to an exhibition inside Sint-Norbertus Church. Afterwards, we will continue strolling through the surrounding streets, focusing on lesser-known but fascinating buildings and stories.
Ending in Style
At the end of the walk, we are pleased to offer all participants a drink at one of the charming local cafés—a perfect opportunity to chat and share experiences in a relaxed atmosphere.
