This summer, we invite you once again to join an engaging architecture walk, this time through the iconic Zoute—one of the most characterful neighborhoods along our coast. Guided by expert Danny Lannoy, we will explore the rich history and unique architectural style of this charming area.

We’ll start at Beachclub River Woods and stroll through the heart of Het Zoute, where the first cottages appeared even before World War I. These modest holiday homes were the seed of an exclusive residential district that was further developed during the Interwar period into what we now know as an oasis of tranquility, elegance, and refinement.

Along the way, you’ll discover how the architecture evolved—from simple seaside cottages to stately villas with Art Deco influences. The walk highlights not only the building styles but also the broader story of the neighborhood: its origins, growth, and the role it played in shaping the Belgian coastline.

After the walk, we warmly welcome you back to Beachclub River Woods for a refreshing drink, offered by Immodôme. It’s the perfect moment to reflect, share experiences, or simply enjoy the sea view.
