Description

Here, you’ll enjoy the best of both worlds: a village atmosphere within the city, with friendly neighbours and vibrant local hotspots and events such as Bar Leon, De Roma, Krugerkross, BougerBouger and Muziek in de Wijk, all within cycling distance of Antwerp’s historic city centre, Central Station and Rivierenhof Park.

What was once an ordinary entrance hall has been transformed into a striking welcome, featuring playful green floor tiles and bold red joinery. The spacious garage accommodates both a car and multiple bicycles—a rare and valuable asset in the city. On the ground floor, you'll also find a practical cloakroom/storage area, a separate toilet, additional storage space and a soundproof music studio, which could equally serve as an artist’s studio, home office, practice room or hobby space. At the rear, a versatile room opens onto the city courtyard, offering plenty of opportunities to create a lush urban oasis.

The heart of the home is located on the first floor: a cosy living area with underfloor heating and a deep red Argiofloor made from natural sand and clay. The multifunctional office space, spacious open-plan kitchen with island and dining area were all custom-designed using sustainable materials. Oak parquet flooring, a new skylight and generous built-in storage complete the space. The adjoining south-facing terrace offers endless possibilities to create your own urban paradise—Ibiza-inspired or beautifully green, the choice is yours.

The second floor features an extra-large bedroom with built-in wardrobes and space for a washing machine, along with a stylish, recently renovated polyester bathroom finished with light blue walls and striking red joinery (2024–2025). In 2024, the third floor was also completely redesigned to include two additional bedrooms, a compact and playful bathroom, and a mezzanine. Recent upgrades include a new roof, exterior joinery, heating system, electrical installation and insulation works. EPC rating: B.

The owners,

owner speaks out

The two main reasons we instantly fell in love with this home? Its incredible potential—with inviting outdoor spaces, a multifunctional ground floor, a garage, a music studio and a workshop—and its prime location on Kruger Square. You truly live in the city here, yet it feels like a village. Within our very first week, the neighbours had already invited us over! There’s a unique sense of community and there is always something happening. Before long, our home naturally became a gathering place for friends and family. Since 2018, we have carefully transformed the house entirely to our own taste. Every detail was designed with the idea that we would live here for decades to come. Every decision was guided by quality, sustainability and ease of use. As an architect and a furniture maker, we both have a strong appreciation for detail, materials and colour, and we hope this is reflected throughout the home. Much of the bespoke joinery and a large part of the finishing work were completed by ourselves, resulting in a house full of thoughtful solutions and unique details. It is with a heavy heart that we are saying goodbye to a place we have shaped with so much love. This is not a standard home, but one with its own distinctive character, perfect for anyone looking for something truly unique. Whether you're a family, a self-employed professional, someone looking for a kangaroo home with a ground-floor studio, a musician in need of a soundproof rehearsal space, or simply someone who appreciates the luxury of a spacious garage… With its inspection pit, cellar storage, abundant built-in storage, bespoke finishes and recent renovations, the next owners can enjoy this exceptional home worry-free for many years to come.
