Description

Rural and quiet in the green Noordrand, yet central between Brussels and Antwerp. Within cycling distance of Meise and Londerzeel with schools, shops and station, and with the Wolvertemse Beemden nature reserve in your backyard.

In 2008, Architectslab gave this characterful 1976 villa a total metamorphosis with a great eye for detail. Just look at the wooden interior shutters! High-quality, durable materials, such as Vitrocsa windows, Vola taps, bespoke cupboards in sandblasted or brushed oak, oak parquet, Burgundy roof tiles... and beautifully preserved authentic fireplace and floor in French natural stone.

Lime trees steal the show in the front garden, with beautifully integrated parking spaces in the garden design. The glazed entrance hall on natural stone also serves as a passage to the fantastic office with XL windows and wood-burning fireplace. What a live-work combo!

Kitchen with natural stone top, Vola taps and lots of bespoke cabinetry. The bench/storage area makes this space even more charming. Storage room, laundry room, basement. Quiet at the back: the large living space with dining area, again a woodburner and great views. In the stylish lounge, the TV was cleverly concealed in the built-in cupboards. Lovely terrace and large sunny garden with trees and handy outbuilding for bicycles.

Original staircase leading to the polyvalent loft, with 2 identical bedrooms side by side. On the opposite side: large bedroom with en suite bathroom with Bisazza mosaic tiles and natural stone. Finally, a nice mezzanine and 2nd bathroom.

Wonderful piece of architecture in a high quality overall project - this picture is right down to the last detail.

The owners,

owner speaks out

This is my childhood home from 1976. In 2008, we decided to completely renovate the house - and whether Architectslab succeeded! They delivered a stylish overall project. The carefully chosen materials create a uniform line throughout the house and we are extremely happy with the unique and warm atmosphere it created. You automatically experience peace when you walk around here. The garden was also completely redesigned in line with the renovation, so everything really fits together. Via the glass passage between the private home and the office, we walk through the garden in winter and summer, as it were. Really nice.
