Description

In the middle of the fine residential area of Buizegem, on the border between Edegem and Hove, you have both the centre of Edegem and Hove within easy reach, as well as Hove Central, local shops, schools, parks and approach roads.

This house in genuine seventies style was built by architect Brunswyck-Wathelet,brother-in-law of the builder. Practically laid out on the ground floor with an entrance hall, a large garage on the right and a multifunctional and bright room at the back. Will this be your new hobby room, playroom, office, guest room or teenager's territory?

The iconic, round staircase in natural stone takes you through a fumé glass door to the first floor, to the living space bathed in light. In the front lounge, the fireplace adds atmosphere, while the large windows draw in plenty of natural daylight. The dining room and kitchen are at the back: so you always enjoy a pleasant view of greenery while cooking and eating. Adjacent is the blissful large terrace with plenty of sun for lunch outside from the first rays of sunshine. Via the stairs you descend to the beautifully planted garden full of flowers and trees. Facing south-west, it is ideal for sunbathing from early spring onwards.

On the second floor: master bedroom with en suite vintage bathroom and handy built-in wardrobes. The other 2 bedrooms are separated by fitted wardrobes, with the second bathroom in addition. Finally, a spacious driveway for 2 cars - or lots of playing children.

Whoever breathes new life into this untouched 1970s family home is writing a new piece of a beautiful history.

More info on the architect can be found on website Brunswyck-Wathelet.brussels (where the house will soon be on display) and admirable-facades.brussels.

That we could grow up in a house created by our uncle makes this family home even more special.
The owners,

owner speaks out

Our parents' brother-in-law designed this house. Very special! So our uncle was an architect and he realised our parents' home. For us, the three daughters of the house, it was fantastic to grow up here. We had great times in this house: the beautiful light, the cosy lounge with fireplace, nice dinners on the terrace.... That we could grow up in a house created by our uncle makes this lovely family home even more special. A beautiful house with an equally beautiful history.
