In this flat, we were bathed in light all day long. In the morning, we woke up to the sun slowly rising behind the cathedral, and in the evening, we watched from the terrace – or from a warm bath – as the sun sank into shades of gold and pink. All around us was greenery and silence: we slept with the windows open, without traffic, without night-time noise, just fresh air and tranquillity. The view of the cathedral and the skyline never bored us. In winter, the city lights sparkled like a backdrop, while in autumn we watched the leaves gently swirl. Here we felt connected to nature, even in the middle of the city. Living with the sun, the moon and the seasons gave this flat a special energy that enchanted us every day.
