Description

In this quiet, dead-end street, in sought-after 2018, you live a stone's throw from the Zuid, where there's always something going on at KMSKA and co, but also on this side of the Leien the eateries and coffee bars are popping up like mushrooms. Just think of the Finch, And/Or, Nordica ...  Yet this neighbourhood mainly retains its character as a quiet residential area - the ideal combination.

Here you not only have a beautiful, classic façade to enjoy - it is also nice to sit in front of it, with a cosy bench and fresh city greenery - nice for a morning coffee or a chat with the neighbours.

Inside, you are welcomed in the impressive entrance hall with beautiful marble staircase and a timeless tiled floor. The first flight of stairs takes you to the slightly elevated - and therefore very bright - ground floor. In front is the modern living kitchen with old pink cupboards and black taps, followed at the back by the lounge, which leads to a spacious and cosy north-facing garden terrace: great for dinner with friends.

The first-floor bedroom comes with a large bathroom with spacious contemporary shower and handy dressing room. Again, natural daylight abounds here. The second floor has three more lovely bedrooms. The semi-basement can be converted into a separate studio for a live-in student, or as a guest room or studio. Nice extra: from here you can access the little city garden at the back.

This house was last renovated in 2001. EPC label C.

owner speaks out

After 20 years in this house and this neighbourhood, I look back on a blissful time. I've seen the neighbourhood transformed into a hotspot in Antwerp 2018: we got extra greenery on our doorstep, and charging stations in the street. At the same time, the neighbourhood kept its quiet, convivial character, while being so close to bustling South. My favourite memories? All those times I sat with a friend drinking coffee in the sunlit kitchen or the many dinners on the terrace ... It's great to stay here.
