My art-loving and artistic grandmother and grandfather lived in this house.
A technical draftsman at an architectural firm, my grandfather was inspired early on by architects such as Renaat Braem, Eduard Van Steenbergen and Jules De Roover. He considered it an absolute honor to live in a design by Braem.
My grandmother as a professional violinist was also strongly culturally engaged. They understood the simplicity and intelligence of the home like no other. Realizing the maximum on a minimal area and also taking into account light and space.
The house is an absolute example of well-thought-out architecture.
Of course, the house again needs love and an update to current trends, but the layout, woodwork, staircase, light, rooms and garden remain top!
