'From the beginning we were strongly charmed by the beautiful facade of the house and the wide avenue with its double row of chestnut trees. When renovating, we respected the soul of the house to the maximum by retaining most of the room arrangement. The wooden window frames at the front were also carefully reconstructed.
The house is bathed in light during all seasons. The shady city garden is a delightful extension of the library and kitchen. There is plenty of green in the neighborhood thanks to the many parks. The Prinsenhof is also within walking distance, as is the entire city center. From the front door to the Castle of the Counts is exactly an 8-minute walk.
We will certainly miss the active neighborhood work of the non-profit organization Elisabeth-Begijnhof, which provides a connection and encounter with many neighbors through the community center, neighborhood activities and the annual Beguinage feasts.
