Description

Here, you’ll be living in one of the liveliest parts of Antwerp. You’re just a short walk away from cosy coffee bars, restaurants and small boutiques, whilst the Royal Museum of Fine Arts and the revitalised Zuid district are never far away. At the same time, there’s always a park or square nearby where you can slow down for a moment. The combination of culture, green spaces and urban vibrancy makes this a place where every day feels different.

Behind an elegant façade in Antwerp lies a home that was renovated with exceptional care in 2019. With its 310 m², favourable EPC rating and compliant technology, it offers not only comfort but also peace of mind. The high ceilings, original features and soft, white walls that catch the light and allow the space to breathe create a serene atmosphere, a ‘discreet boutique hotel’ in the most sought-after location in Antwerp.

The entrance hall leads to a spacious living area where a gas fireplace provides warmth and intimacy. Double doors open onto the open-plan kitchen, fully equipped and centred around a black Falcon hob. At the rear, wide glass panels open onto the south-west facing terrace and garden, where sun and greenery meet and the birds in the trees instantly cheer you up with their chirping. There is also a guest toilet and access to the full basement level.

On the mezzanine level, a light-filled study has been created with views of a terrace and greenery. The master floor features a spacious bedroom with an en-suite dressing room and a light-filled bathroom. From the bed, you look out over the surrounding greenery, as if waking up amongst the trees. A laundry room and a fitness area have been fitted out on the second mezzanine level.

The second floor houses two bedrooms, each with its own shower room finished in microtopping. Above these are two further full-sized rooms, which share an additional bathroom: ideal for an au pair, guests or a more flexible use.

Finally, there is the option to purchase two private parking spaces.

The owners,

owner speaks out

We renovated this house in 2019 with one goal in mind: to create a place where everything feels just right. The light, the space, the garden, the tranquillity and, at the same time, that unique energy of the South just around the corner. Five bedrooms, four bathrooms, two parking spaces: it was perfectly suited to a family in its prime. Now that our children have gone their separate ways, we are looking for something smaller but with the same foundations that made us so happy here: quality, comfort, accessibility and a warm atmosphere. Oud Zuid is not a neighbourhood, it is a village. And we are not letting go of that village.
