'The atmosphere of the house is really lovely. With heart and soul, we designed the renovations and we are really proud of the result: a super cosy, finely finished house. Everyone immediately feels welcome here. In the sun-drenched, surprisingly quiet garden, especially at weekends and in the holidays, it can be quiet as a mouse. Holiday in your own country! We also find the seating area very cosy - the light falling through the coloured cathedral glass certainly contributes to this.
We also like the location, with beautiful pieces of nature all around: the Citadelpark, the water nearby, numerous cycling routes to beautiful parks in the area (Liedermeerspark, Parkbos,...). This is also a great place for children to grow up, close to lots of playgrounds, the natural playground of the 'speelfontein' and other nice addresses and a whole range of schools. Every Sunday we go on foot to Ledeberg market, one of the oldest and biggest in Ghent. Lovely to have a drink or a good coffee there too at Rokkebolle, the ideal start to our Sunday morning. In summer, of course, there are also many nice summer bars and wonderful festivals, such as Gent Jazz, nearby.
We will forever keep fond memories of the first years of our son's life, whom we watched grow up here.'
