Description

IN OPTION - Close to Temse bridge, E17 exit and Park Den Esch, a fun, green getaway spot. Handy: around the corner are bib, academy and sports complex with tennis, football, hockey - perfect for children who go to their hobbies independently. You can clear your head on the Scheldt, just a stone's throw away.

In 1967, architect and Temsen resident Jan De Rijck built this practical bel-etage house: a fine family home with functional layout and abundant space and light.

You enter the spacious hall in beautiful travertine, with fitted wardrobe and guest toilet. From here you can access the 2 indoor garages with space for many bicycles and two cars - and an extra storage room with bathroom (shower, washbasin) - very handy for those who like to go upstairs freshly washed after sports or youth activities.

On the sunny 1st floor: large, open living space with cosy fireplace and handsome block parquet flooring. Lots of light creates a light & airy atmosphere, blissful to enjoy a coffee and newspaper here at the weekend. From the semi-open kitchen, overlooking the large, green garden, you are always in touch with your guests in the living room. Furthermore, a handy desk with fitted cupboards. Working or studying with a view of the garden? Check.

The 2nd floor has 3 spacious bedrooms and 1 bathroom with shower, bath, double sink and toilet. Finally, the 3rd floor has been transformed into a multifunctional space thanks to a fixed staircase: formerly a TV room, now a studio. Next is the cosy, 4th bedroom.

With no fewer than 4 floors, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 garages, this property lends itself perfectly to a wide variety of purposes and (new) family compositions.

The owner, Ilse,

owner speaks out

'The garden, the beautiful trees, the spots where you can sit early in spring in the sun and out of the wind to read, have lunch or an aperitif.... I'm definitely going to miss those!

Thanks to the symmetry, which architect Jan De Rijck brought into the house, I always found a lot of peace in the house 'The sunlight gives a beautiful glow to the rooms. I also love the deep travertine window sills - nice sitting areas for reading -, and the other special elements the architect integrated, such as the alcoves.

The central location is incredibly nice and convenient: hockey, drawing and music school, the park, the library, bakery, pharmacy, supermarkets and some fine restaurants by the river.... You can all get there on foot. At the same time, you can take countless long rides by bike along the Scheldt, along beautiful stretches of nature.'
