Description

Close to Lebbeke's sports centre, with swimming pool and athletics track around the corner, as well as the village centre with bib, bakery, butcher and shops.

Not to be missed in the street scene, this impressive feat of brutalism from 1984. Red, blue and yellow accents - a nod to the iconic Rietveld chair - provide a playful element in this high-quality home with former law office and doctor's surgery.

Separate entrance for private and practice with waiting room, toilet and 3 offices. In the living area: corridor with guest toilet, access to the indoor double garage and glass door to the spacious living areas with Carrara Blanco marble floor. Thoughtful vistas, luminous patio and exposed walls ensure that you are in connection with your housemates in every room on the ground floor.

The kitchen with rounded kitchen island and cosy dining table for everyday use is connected to the guest table via a see-through slit. A few steps down: the super cosy sitting pit with see-through fireplace that also provides atmosphere at the side of the guest table. From everywhere, you can enjoy the view over the giga garden with natural pond, a handsome realisation by garden architect Guido Spruyt. Enclosed storage and laundry room on the ground floor.

On +1 also plenty of space: 4 bedrooms and the 1st bathroom (shower, double washbasin). Master bedroom on nice parquet and with fitted wardrobes over the entire wall, with en suite 2nd bathroom with bath, shower and double washbasin. At +2 a large finished attic with fixed staircase, possibilities for playroom, fifth bedroom etc.

Plenty surrounded by nature and centrally located, living and working, an architectural masterpiece as well as a practical layout - in this beautiful family home you have it all.

The owner,

owner speaks out

A fantastic, thoughtful home where you feast your eyes on the surrounding nature every day of the year, that's this house in a nutshell. I really enjoyed working from home. It was super convenient that my office was separate from the private areas, and that I was still constantly involved with my family thanks to the green patio. Thanks to the many vistas and open spaces, the house feels incredibly light and spacious.

I also thoroughly enjoy the garden, the terrace and the bankirai decking over the pond. They are all great places to unwind while observing the lush life in and around the water: frogs, dragonflies, birds nesting in the climbing hydrangea and sometimes even a pair of mallards or a heron ... Fantastic! You literally live with the seasons here. The Japanese varnish tree, the little flower garden with the pergola of spray roses and grapevine, the children's garden with the swing in the shade of the big walnut tree, romping around on the lawn, or just one of the many shady corners for lunch, reading a book on the decking with a blissful view of the pond ...

I'm going to miss it all enormously, but after much deliberation, I have decided to sell the house, with a double but mostly satisfied feeling I look back on the past years I've had the pleasure of living here.
