This beautiful and practical house was a lovely home for over ten years for our family with two growing children. On their balance bikes, they covered countless kilometres in the huge living room — in our opinion, the main asset of the house. Now that they’re a bit older, they play football a lot in the garden. During the holidays, we let the children play outside with peace of mind, as this is a safe play street.
Our favourite spots in the house? Definitely the cosy sitting area in the kitchen, and in summer, the lounge on the terrace. The accessibility here is fantastic too: a bakery around the corner, school within walking distance, near the train station and bike highway, and just a ten-minute bike ride to the centre of Mechelen. The city’s greening projects are also visible in our neighbourhood: one of the many newly created parks with a playground is just a few streets away! Over the past few years, we’ve given the house a modern update. We’re quite proud of these improvements and we hope a new family will soon enjoy them!
