'Architecturally, I was immediately triggered by the plans of project Light Falls and the well-known Govaert & Vanhoutte architects. This place has so many pluses: the green surroundings, beautiful materials such as wood and concrete, super-sized glass windows.... The Light Falls project combines the assets of the countryside with the strengths of Ghent's city outskirts. Thus, this became an accessible and green residential project. On weekends, we often cycle along the Scheldedijk to: a blissful 25-minute bike ride, completely through nature. Opening the large sliding glass door fully gives a blissful indoor-outdoor feeling. The parquet floor continues into the terrace, which greatly opens up and extends the space.'
