Description

The peaceful polders of Kruibeke are a true delight for cycling, running, and walking, with a good chance of spotting herons, deer, and even kingfishers. Enjoy a drink at Kinderboerderij Pachtgoedhof, have dinner at Mille in Bazel, or take your bike or the Waterbus to Antwerp – it’s all possible. In Kruibeke itself, you'll find both many local specialty shops and larger supermarkets.

This characterful home offers plenty of possibilities, both inside and out – making it an excellent setting for anyone dreaming of a private practice or home office. With no fewer than seven rooms, two downstairs and five upstairs, you have endless options to tailor this space to your liking.

Spacious entrance hall with high ceilings. Sandblasted wooden beams throughout add a lovely rustic charm. The large living room features a gas fireplace and wide windows with a great view of the garden. Just around the corner is the kitchen – connected to the living space, yet still tucked away from sight when guests come over. Separate laundry/storage room and guest toilet. The fantastic garden includes a covered terrace and a pool in need of renovation – ideal for unforgettable garden parties and beautiful moments around the trampoline, fire pit, or BBQ.

Beautiful open staircase with landing on warm patterned parquet flooring. The same large spaces continue on the first floor, creating a great sense of openness. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom (double sink, bathtub) and lots of built-in wardrobes. Further along: two smaller and two larger bedrooms, and a second separate bathroom (shower, sink). Finally, the fully waterproof basement of 170 m² offers space for four cars.

owner speaks out

"Going for a quick bike ride or taking the water bus to Antwerp with the kids... Living here is incredibly convenient in relation to the city – a major advantage! Brussels and Ghent are also easily accessible; within just a few minutes, you're on the highway. For us and the kids, this is a really nice and practical neighbourhood: schools are nearby, and they can safely bike to their hobbies (Scouts and football). The area is also very peaceful, surrounded by polders and nature. As a mountain biker/road cyclist, it’s absolutely perfect for me too: you hop on your bike and within a minute you're in the polders, where you can ride in total tranquility. During my evening rides, I often spot a deer or a fox... Incredible! Going for walks in the forest with our family, visiting the petting zoo, or following the Bever Trail is another favourite activity – very relaxing. Our sons have plenty of space both indoors and outdoors to play and run around. The house is very spacious, but thanks to the combination of old wooden elements, the large living room, and the clean-lined walls, it has an incredibly cosy atmosphere. With so many rooms, there's always a quiet spot for reading or working; and the garage is great for storage and for tinkering with my bikes. But of course, what we’ll miss the most... is the garden! Pruning, mowing the lawn... I absolutely love gardening, just like my father used to. It’s also an amazing place for the kids, who can easily play football or do wild tricks on the trampoline. First communions, birthday dinners, bouncy castles, party tents... There's space for it all! On hot days we cool off in the shade of a tree, and in winter we make popcorn over the fire bowl – such wonderful memories."
