Description

Spacious doctor's house with garage and park garden.

Post-war modernism with focus on simplicity, space and light, perfect for combo practice-family.

Original catering establishments can be found in all directions: Café Kamiel, Brusketta, Lara cooks for you. For crisp fresh pistolets you don't have to go far either. The bakery is just around the corner, as are schools, shops and Hof Van Leysen park with playground. Be surprised by the stylish, lively neighbourhood, where around 1570 important Antwerp citizens had a summer house or 'hof van plaisantie'. Today, the house and the lovely garden lend themselves perfectly to cocooning and relaxing in the middle of the city.

House built by Antwerp architect. Louis Luyten in 1965. The starting point was to create a light, simple and high-quality house with plenty of space for four growing children and a doctor's practice.

The practice is located behind the garage and consists of two rooms. Inside, you will find no less than six bdrms and another three bdk. A sea of space with plenty of possibilities.

Thanks to the windows on the street side, you have optimal privacy without sacrificing light. At the back of the house, large windows allow maximum light and birdsong into the house.

Living room on parquet floor with adjoining terrace and authentic sixties kitchen. A staircase leads you from the terrace to the sun-drenched garden. The authentic banister in the bright stairwell was custom-made in Italy. An absolute luxury is the handy garage on the glvl: extra storage space and room for a car and/or bicycles.

The huge garden is surprisingly quiet - a rarity in the middle of the city. Because all the back gardens overlap, you get an instant park feeling here and the imposing, old trees harbour a lot of life: good for hours of viewing pleasure. Who knows, maybe this is your place to finally plant that fragrant herb garden?

A dream for a combo practice with family, generous garden and garage included. Make an appointment soon.

The garden was a bliss to romp in for me and my brothers. Hours were spent here playing!
An owner, Philippe,

owner speaks out

Our parents built this house in 1965. First they rented the house that stood on this site, but it proved very impractical because of the many stairs and small rooms. They decided to build a completely new residence on the same spot.

The architect tailored the spacious house to all our family's needs: space for our father's doctor's surgery and more than enough room for us four growing children. We had a blissful childhood here.

The garden was a joy to romp in for me and my brothers. We spent hours playing here!
