Description

Grote Steenweg, the second-oldest street in Berchem, is located in the sought-after, child-friendly Pulhof neighbourhood near Brilschanspark, with the tram on your doorstep and shops, restaurants, schools and roads nearby. By bike or tram, you'll be in the heart of Antwerp in no time.

Stately façade with yellow bricks and wooden profiles - this stylish Art Deco house is almost bursting at the seams with authentic elements. In the beautiful entrance hall, the exuberant stained-glass windows automatically make you cheerful. Further through, the authentic staircase and colourful tiles immediately catch your eye, a joy to look at. At the back is the kitchen with handsome, continuous tiles, original cupboards, wall tiles and floors. Who wouldn't want to cook here...

Taking a break from the hustle and bustle? You can do so in the garden, with plenty of space for your kids to romp around. On the left: the cosy morning room for a cosy breakfast or a cosy family dinner. On +1: the bright, spacious living room and dining room with characteristic elements everywhere. Christmas dinner, birthday party, curling up on the sofa after a long day...? This is the place to be. Separate office with garden view and terrace to enjoy the last rays of sunshine.

Spacious master bedroom with authentic herringbone parquet at +2. Further 2 bedrooms, one with adjoining terrace, bathroom with bath, washbasin and original yellow tiles. Cherry on the cake? The spacious garage. Recently renewed: roof, windows, central heating and utilities, hence the nice EPC score B.

owner speaks out

I have always loved living here. This is a lovely house and it was a pleasure to watch my children grow up here. Wherever you look, the authentic elements are everywhere. The leaded-glass windows and doors are still in excellent condition. The whole house brightens up from it, and we ourselves actually do too. Bad day? One glance at the door with its beautiful stained glass, and you instantly forget your worries.

We regularly took the children to the park or let them romp in the garden. Without thinking, you are also very quickly in the heart of the city by public transport. The kitchen is a joy to cook in, but do you want to go out to a restaurant with your feet under the table? Then there are plenty of options all around within walking distance. There is also a supermarket across the street, so you really do have everything within easy reach here.
