Description

In the heart of Boechout, within walking distance of Delhaize, for aperitifs at Barabas, pizza at Cosmo, or a Pilates session. The Butcher’s Store in Hove is also just a stone's throw away, as well as Frijthout Park and Uilenbos forest. Green spaces, shops, schools, and restaurants galore: the perfect combination just 10 km from Antwerp and Lier, with a nearby train station and cycling route.

The Leunis family started enjoying peace and space here as early as 1885 in this exceptional estate – and you can still experience that today! The large driveway with room for multiple cars is perfect for those looking to combine living and working. A charming staircase leads to the octagonal entrance hall, topped by a charming turret room. The stained-glass windows in the "grand salon" depict the daughter of the house with Antwerp in the background. The other woman shown is the mother, set against the skyline of her birthplace, Bruges.

The spacious kitchen blends old-world charm with all modern comforts: a large cooking island, plenty of storage space, and quality appliances. The dining area in the veranda exudes a lovely orangery atmosphere, especially cozy with the pellet stove on. The view over the stunning park garden is beautiful in every season, and with the windows open, the indoor-outdoor flow has never been so pleasant!

On +1: 2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms, including a huge master suite with a dressing room. On +2: 2 additional bedrooms. A full-sized cellar with a separate entrance and multiple rooms, including the former servant's kitchen and a sauna. The garage, with a small goods lift, once housed horses and carriages. Smart home system and Energy Performance Certificate C.

For those who love historical charm in a luxurious, modern setting, this property is a dream come true.

It is wonderful to still be able to walk around this beautiful home filled with history today!
The owners,

owner speaks out

In the center of Boechout, it is always surprisingly quiet. There is never any noise here. Since this was originally built as a country residence, this stately home doesn't have two staircases, as was common in houses with servant staff. The maids had the entire basement floor at their disposal. It is wonderful to still be able to walk around this beautiful home filled with history today! Not only the house, but also the park garden is – quite literally – a "hof van playsantie", with three living zones: the veranda, a lovely lawn area, and in the final section, the sauna and a super-cozy fire pit.
