Description

Borgerhout: vibrant melting pot of artists and creatives, legendary cafés and initiatives and exotic shops. Close to Roma, cosy squares and parks, within walking distance of tram, bus and Central Station.

Behind the facade of this double house is a surprisingly light and original residence, built by Broekx-Schiepers on behalf of AG Vespa.

On the ground floor, you are cheerfully welcomed by cute tiles in a blue and white pattern: classic, but just a bit different. Separate toilet and handy built-in cloakrooms. The staircase in warm oak wood takes you to the 1st floor.

The open kitchen has the same tiles in the reverse colour pattern. The large sliding window covers almost one entire kitchen wall and leads to the cosy 14m2 sun terrace: your own green urban jungle. A practical laundry and storage room follows. The large corner window in the living room on the 2nd floor makes you feel completely relaxed.

The 3rd floor: spacious bedroom with cute built-in children's bed. Next to it is an office space (or playroom, hobby room or extra sleeping space). The made-to-measure cupboards in pine, in the same style throughout, bring unity and calm to the whole. Stylish bathroom with handy double sink, separate shower, terracotta-coloured tiles and blissful bathtub.

The master bedroom can also be found on the 3rd floor, where the 2nd sunny terrace awaits you. Here too, one wall consists of one large window, so from now on you always wake up with a view.

Handsome architectural house with sunny terraces, two private oases of calm, in the heart of the city.

owner speaks out

We bought the house several years ago from AG Vespa. Massive amounts of daylight streaming in, the cosy, sunny terraces to the bedroom and kitchen... We immediately fell in love with the architecture of this house. Moreover, this is a very nice neighbourhood to live in, when there were two of us, but certainly also with our little son. Next to our house is a newly redesigned square with grass and paths: the ideal place to teach our little son to ride a bike! We also often go to Kruger Square, two streets away, where we meet up with friends for a picnic, a drink at Bar Leon or for one of the best ice creams in town, from Borgo Gelato. An awful lot of cosy lunch spots have also sprung up in the neighbourhood in recent years. A bliss to have everything so close by.
