Description

Here you are close to everything: 5' steps from Park Spoor Noord, near beautiful Art Deco bathhouse and swimming pool Veldstraat, streetcar and premetro, the ring road, stores, schools. And yet this is a quiet street with many young families.

Through the original blue gate you enter and step right into the courtyard garden. Behind this gate you can easily park 2 cars, if you don't want to park just in front of your gate. Of course, there is also room here for all your bicycles. The 1900 square farmhouse, and tiptop renovated in 2012, is located in the back. The living spaces open onto the courtyard garden on three sides.

On the glvl you will find the spacious, modern kitchen and the large living space. There is also an office with built-in closets and separate toilet: ideal for home workers or the self-employed. The 1st floor is accessed both by the authentic spiral staircase from the office and from the living space with a wooden staircase, stylishly hidden in a practical wall of built-in wooden cabinets.

The 1st floor consists of a very large room where stairs lead to the mezzanine. Here is currently the master bedroom. Below this mezzanine you have an enclosed (children's) bedroom and a pleasant bathroom with walk-in shower with sink.
In the impressive dressing room with beautiful pantry (middle leg of the U) you can store all your clothes. Further on another large bdk with bath and another spacious bedroom (last leg of the U). Also on this floor you overlook the peaceful courtyard garden from all rooms.

Solar panels on the roof provide the house with hot water. A well supplies water for the toilets and the tap outside. Robust beams make you feel you are living in an authentic farmhouse, and thanks to the large expanses of glass and clever vistas, you enjoy maximum light in every room of the house. Together with the warm parquet floor and wooden windows, this gives you a serene, Scandinavian atmosphere in the middle of the bustling city.

Although you'll find huge windows in all the rooms, we don't need curtains
The owners, Loth and Ben,

owner speaks out

This neighborhood is incomparable! Our house is super quiet because it is in the back, and yet in less than 10 minutes by bike you are both in the center of Antwerp and in the tranquility of Rivierenhof. Even closer is the lively, colorful Handelstraat. Convenient and cozy, the stores are open until late and provide quite a bit of couleur locale. Here you will not step a meter or you will see something tasty, such as in the fish shops for which the street is known, or delicious olives, tapenades and breads. Swim or go to the hammam in style in the art-deco swimming pool on Veldstraat, play or picnic in Park Spoor Noord. You can grab a quick bite or some culture in the nearby, newly renovated Old Bathhouse.

Our street is the opposite of all this hustle and bustle: it is an incredibly quiet place to live. Many young families with children lost their hearts in this part of Antwerp North. What also caught our eye was the atypical layout of the house. An old farmhouse from 1900, that means large, pleasant rooms - that in itself is quite unique in the city. And although you'll find huge windows in all the rooms, we didn't need curtains. That makes this property very special.
