Architect Jos Chabot was a supporter of moderate modernism during the first decades of his career, rather of traditionalism and regionalism in WWII. This 1946 house retains many of his original stylistic features, such as the rounded arches and rounded front door and interior doors.

I bought this beautiful property together with my late father in 1996. To this day, we use this special place as a law office. It has always been a pleasure to work here, surrounded by a sea of space, lots of light and beautiful, thoughtful architectural elements. The location is also absolutely perfect: perfectly central, with both the heart of Mechelen, the train-bus station and the Leuvense Vaart within walking distance. Although I usually ride my bike to court, the spacious indoor garage is a huge plus - a great luxury in this fine residential street.
