Brasschaat is identified by many with lavish villa districts. Much less known is the modernist architecture that left its first traces in the period between the two world wars in this green municipality on the outskirts of Antwerp and continued afterwards.

Well-known architects such as Léon Stynen, Peter Callebout, Jules De Roover, but also lesser-known ones such as Pierre Van Rompaey and Ludo Michielsen are exponents of their time and helped define the image of Brasschaat from behind their drawing boards.

We would like to invite you and your family on an architectural walk together with Georges Goffin, art historian, and Jo Van Bouwel, architect. With landscape architect Jan Moereels and architect Nel Lernout, they realised, among others, the books Modern building in Brasschaat 1920-1940 and Modern building in Brasschaat 1945-1975.

Afterwards, Immodôme treats you to a drink!
