In our duplex apartment, you truly get the feeling of living in a house, with all the comforts that come with it – a ground floor layout, a garden, a private cellar and a skylight – with only neighbours above you. In summer, our garden becomes a wonderful extension of the kitchen, where we have hosted countless barbecues with friends and family. Thanks to the peaceful atmosphere, we sometimes forget that we are living right in the heart of the city. The neighbourhood was already pleasant when we moved in, but over the past few years it has evolved tremendously – all for the better. With the arrival of the Zuidpark, the redevelopment of the Scheldt quays and the reopening of the Royal Museum of Fine Arts (KMSKA), we can enjoy leisurely walks in Antwerp’s most charming spots, whatever the weather. Surrounded by excellent restaurants and cafés in all price ranges, we often feel like tourists in our own city.
