Description

This peaceful base in green surroundings is centrally located, close to shops, public transport, with free primary school Sint-Filippus just 100 metres from the house. Walking, jogging or a lovely bike ride? You can easily do so in the nearby Park van Schoten, Park Vordenstein or the Peerdsbos.

In this villa to be renovated, you will find the front door on the side of the house, past the front garden with magnificent magnolia. Step into the spacious entrance hall with characteristic black and white tile and choose where to go: kitchen, living room, dining room, office or upstairs. Unsurprisingly, this hall is the focal point of the house. Through an additional passage with handy sink, built-in cupboard, guest toilet and technical storage, you enter the spacious office - maybe your new office, studio or practice?

The kitchen with Cubex vibes now consists of a section for cooking and a small storage area with back door to the driveway, handy for immediately unloading your groceries. From the dining area, you can go straight out onto the terrace to the beautiful garden with lots of privacy and mature trees. Villa and building plot together on a 2000 m2 plot. Dining room and sunny living room with fireplace, handsome herringbone parquet flooring with access to the terrace.

Wide, wooden stairs to the large night hall at +1, where beautiful herringbone parquet is hidden under the fitted carpet. Also in the master bedroom again that same beautiful parquet. Bathroom and three more spacious bedrooms, separate toilet, built-in cupboards and hatch to storage attic.

As a child, it was great fun to climb the big trees in our garden!

owner speaks out

Our house was only the fourth to be built in the street. We watched the neighbourhood grow, and as children we played a lot on the - then vacant - land. The neighbourhood evolved into a desirable place for families, especially when a preschool was founded in the street in 1957. Later, we went on foot to St Joseph primary school or by public transport or bicycle to Merksem, or were at the secondary school in Antwerp in half an hour by bus. Meanwhile, grandchildren came for our parents, and the nice thing was that our children went to school here in the street. That meant they could go to grandma and grandpa's for lunch twice a week. Even after school, they could go and play in the big garden. A bliss!
