Description

The Eekhoornlaan in villa neighbourhood 'Het Hertenbos' - you guessed it, here you are surrounded by greenery. Walking distance from Hof Ter Linden, cycling to the village of 's Gravenwezel, and good food just around the corner in the Vogelenzang. With quite a few schools within cycling distance all around, this is totally a dream location for a family with children.

Does the name Waterkeyn ring a bell? It might, because architect Jean Waterkeyn is the son of none other than André Waterkeyn, designer of the Atomium. Architecture was clearly in their blood. Son Jean Waterkeyn designed this villa in 1977 and provided an extension in 1984. The original, typical 70s architecture of the house catches the eye even from the street: the alternation of corners and curves creates a playful effect.

Inside, there is a pleasantly warm atmosphere thanks to the use of wood, lots of windows and plenty of natural daylight. The striking spiral staircase also catches the eye immediately. Large wardrobe in the hall and plenty of light in the living room, with the sitting room with fireplace on the left and space for your home office under the sloping window.

Open kitchen with blissful garden views, space for a dining table, handy pantry and sliding doors to the garden to enjoy a wonderful indoor-outdoor feeling. The beautifully landscaped, green garden with lots of privacy, 3 parking spaces and garage complete the ground floor.

On the 1st floor you will find 2 spacious children's bedrooms with nice mezzanine, master bedroom with badka

owner speaks out

We are selling our childhood home with mixed feelings. We take with us so many wonderful memories of the wonderful walks in Hof ter Linden, cycling to school or to tennis club the Gym, hours of romping, building camps and picnics in the garden and playing with friends from the street.... So this really is a fantastic home to grow up in as a family.
