Description

In the residential Doornelei area, middle-class Art Deco-style houses and this exceptionally large Beaux-Arts-style house adorn the street scene. Super central, close to deSingel, parks, shops, restaurants, public transport and the motorway. Easily accessible, so ideal for a practice.
Beautiful, original parquet floors, magnificent, authentic cupola and stained-glass windows, high ceilings, the original marble fireplace mantles and a façade width of no less than ten metres... It is not difficult to be overwhelmed by this magnificent bourgeois residence in beaux-arts style. The perfect place to set up your office or practice and effortlessly combine living, working and your family life.

The majestic staircase hall automatically takes you back to the opulent grandeur of the 1930s. On the ground floor you will find a separate toilet, the kitchen, telephone room and a large living and sitting room. When the sun shines through the - literally - magnificent original glass window on the mezzanine floor, an enchanting play of light is created.

Of the 3 spacious rooms on the first floor, 2 have now been converted into consulting rooms and waiting rooms. Adjoining the master bedroom with dressing room is a lovely, south-facing terrace with beautiful wisteria. The bathroom features the still original bathtub and the authentic, glass dome. The second floor also has possibilities galore, with 4 to 5 bedrooms, so a dream children's floor, possibly with 2nd bathroom. The house has a full basement.

The owners,

owner speaks out

We bought this exceptional home directly from the original builders Schuller, in 1968. I have always had my dermatology practice here, and my son has followed in my footsteps. He currently still consults here. Our four children were born and raised here. Now that I am still living here alone, this house is really getting too big and I am leaving this wonderful place, where we have been very happy for many years.
