Description

Carefree living in a finished home in a quiet and child-friendly one-way street, close to schools, public transport and shops. Market, bib, swimming pool, youth movement and parks, all within walking distance. Into town? You're a stone's throw from the centre of Antwerp, Eilandje and Spoor Noord park. Oxygen or romp around? Green Schoten and Brasschaat are just as close.

This eclectic architect's house from 1949 has been renovated thoroughly and future-proof over the years, with an eye for authentic elements, such as the original doors with cathedral glass.

The 10-metre-wide fifties façade stands out in the street. You can come home either via the wide entrance hall or via the garage with its two-part automated sectional door for groceries, bicycles and box bicycles...

Anyone entering the house immediately experiences a feeling of space and light. Large living space where sitting room, dining room and fully equipped kitchen on slate floors merge seamlessly.

Ceiling-high windows, so you enjoy the beautiful views of the garden (SW) everywhere. Windows open and eating in the garden is a snap. The dining room can also be used as an office and is connected to both the entrance hall and the garden.

Fully renovated and insulated rear facade in standing stonework, a nod to the interwar period.

At +1: 3 spacious and bright bedrooms, of which master bedroom with door to roof terrace, en suite dressing room and bathroom (shower, bath, ceramic mosaic tiles) - just a

owner speaks out

'New owners can move in here with confidence. We have completely renovated the house. It meets today's insulation standards perfectly. We deliberately chose durable and timeless materials and custom-made furniture in every room, from kitchen to dressing room. The neighbourhood is also great: a very quiet street and yet close to everything.

Here you experience the four seasons on three levels. And the outside stairs to our roof terrace? We call it our stairway to heaven.

Inside and outside flow into each other and everywhere you have a view of greenery. Chirping blackbirds, budding flowers... contact with nature is never far away here. In the warm months, the tree is a blissful, natural air conditioner and when the golden yellow leaves fall, the sun shines delightfully into the house and conservatory again.

This is truly one of those places you want to share with others: from seeds to a dish on the plate with homegrown tomatoes. In the large living space, there is room enough to party both lavishly and cosy, setting sun and starry skies on the roof terrace, check!'

But perhaps the biggest asset is the flexibility of this home.

Functions and needs can easily change and this house adapts effortlessly. We used the same room first as an architect's office, then as a playroom, then library and finally an intimate dining room. Space enough for relaxation, work, play or hobbies (ready-to-use conservatory/workshop, garage for repairing bicycles, craft or painting workshop on the north-east side ...) without mortgaging the peaceful and comfortable living spaces.'
