Description

Close to access roads to Antwerp, Limburg and the Netherlands. Take a peaceful walk in the Vrieselhof or in the neighbours' orchard - it doesn't get any more idyllic than that. Schools and shops are at cycling distance in the village of Broechem.

Here and there, some elements still refer to the former use of this 1930s house: a charming village pub. The property was tackled to perfection and completely transformed into an über-cool, modern home with lots of patina.

In the hallway on the right is the office with built-in cupboards, then the convenient laundry room and guest toilet. A double glazed door leads into the large living space with, at its centre, the beautiful, tiptop-installed kitchen with large island for socialising around drinks or dining. Spacious dining room and cosy reading nook by the gas fireplace, a dream spot for cocooning with a book. On the small platform - formerly the café's stage - is the seating area with another cellar below, once the 'backstage' with a box for the artists. Good to know: you won't hear anything from the street side, thanks to the acoustic glass in the windows. There is also air conditioning throughout the house.

In the lovely, low-maintenance garden, children can play to their hearts' content while parents relax in the lounge. Large garden shed and front parking space for 3 cars (2 charging stations).

On the 1st fl. 2 kids and parents with a dream dressing room. Plenty of space, so no morning stress, in the spacious bathroom with bathtub on legs, walk-in shower and double washbasin.

owner speaks out

In the garden the children can play wonderfully and also for the parents it is very cosy to sit here, read and have aperitifs. We regularly take a stroll through our backdoor neighbours' orchard, very sweet people who enjoy sharing their homegrown fruit and vegetables with the neighbourhood. We go shopping in the village by bike. Living here is very cosy and small-scale, really a neighbourhood on a human scale.
