Description

At the crossroads of Wilrijk, the architectural Expo neighbourhood and the diverse Kiel area, you live in a lively district with plenty of amenities nearby. Schools, local shops and markets are within walking distance, and sports and leisure facilities are never far away. You also enjoy excellent connections to Antwerp’s city centre, both by bike and public transport.

Looking for a fully renovated home with an advantageous EPC B and a garage? You might find exactly what you’re searching for here! Through the charming entrance hall—with mouldings, high ceilings and lovely retro mosaic tiles—you walk into the spacious dining room and cosy living area. The split level adds an original and inviting touch. Thanks to the skylight and white-painted parquet floors, all these spaces feel extra light and airy.

In the fully equipped open kitchen, with plenty of storage, the island is the true focal point where family and friends gather for an aperitif. In the pleasant outdoor space, new corten steel planters and bamboo will soon provide even more greenery and privacy.

Take the stairs to the split level, featuring a dressing area and separate toilet. On the first floor: a spacious bathroom with teak flooring (bath, shower, double sink) and the bright master bedroom. On the second floor: two additional rooms, including one XL room currently used as an office with built-in cabinets. Beautiful oiled wooden floors and original doors in every room. Nice bonus: a large cellar and an integrated garage, so you’ll always have a parking spot right at your door.

Charming renovated family home with many advantages, located in a pleasant neighbourhood.

During the renovation, our house blossomed into a truly warm and welcoming home.
The owners,

owner speaks out

Thanks to the help of our excellent architect and contractor, we renovated this house in two phases. During the renovation, the house gradually transformed into a warm and welcoming home. We got to know the neighbourhood as a lively and down-to-earth place where neighbours truly know one another and are always happy to help — for example, by watering our plants while we’re on holiday. We even regularly have dinners, street barbecues and parties with the neighbours, which is great fun! And so this house and this neighbourhood have been our home base for twenty years. Wonderfully close to the city centre, yet also near the nature of the Hobokense Polder — here you really have the best of both worlds. But after all these years in the city and the adoption of our dog last year, the time has come for us to return to the countryside. Our dog deserves a big garden, and we ourselves are ready for that as well. Though we will certainly miss the city, and also our ‘little village within the city’.
