Like a lot of places in Portugal, Sintra has no real winters. Almost all year round it is sunny and pleasant here. In winter, the temperature never drops below ten degrees, but thanks to the favourable mountain climate, summers are never extremely hot either. Temperatures rarely rise to 35 degrees, which is the case in, say, Lisbon. There, people flee the city, here you stay and enjoy the ideal conditions.
The Airbnb is also super convenient. Because the guesthouse has a separate entrance, through the garden, and you can close off the place with a closet wall, that part of the house is multi-purpose. As a result, the studio has already served as a teenage studio, study, office, guesthouse.... When there are no guests, we slide open the closet wall and this also becomes part of the house.
We are also big fans of Esteves' architecture. The way he managed to capture the light, his eye for detail, the layout of the rooms and the villa's implantation on the hill.... It always makes a little magic in the air here.
