Description

Top location in the heart of Wilrijk: barely a 3-minute walk from the magical Park Den Brandt, super-quiet in the green and close to shops, the Wezenberg swimming pool, access roads and a snap of a bike or public transport to Antwerp city centre.

This stylish Art Deco-style building from 1925 was designed by engineer-architect Rob Schenck. For this building, which immediately catches the eye in the wide Cederlaan, the designer was inspired by the Amsterdam School.

Authentic staircase leading to the flat on the 1st floor. Separate entrance hall with cloakroom. Atmosphere à volonté in the front lounge with warm, continuous plankwood floors. The kitchen arch forms a nice connection between the cosy dining area and the contemporary, austere white kitchen: this way you are always in contact with your guests at the table and yet keep your kitchen utensils neatly out of sight.
The nice space at the back can be converted into a guest or baby room, now used as an office. From here, you can access the spacious terrace with plenty of privacy and views of greenery. Cute blue doors create a southern holiday feeling, the south-west facing orientation does the rest - a perfect place to organise sunny aperitifs.

Between the contemporary bathroom with walk-in shower and washbasin and the bedroom, there is another handy in-between space, which can be converted into a large dressing room or separate office at will. There is a separate toilet. Also from the spacious, super quiet bedroom, you can access the terrace.

Finally, one last windfall: fixed costs here are low.

Currently, the flat is rented out at EUR 1220/month.

owner speaks out

Currently, the apartment is rented out but previously we really enjoyed living here ourselves. As architecture and history lovers, we immediately felt at home in this Art Deco flat. In turn, the terrace exudes the atmosphere of a southern palazzo, a fantastic place to relax. The fact that you also live so close to the green oasis of no fewer than three phenomenal parks is a great bonus. At the same time, you only have to walk out the door and you're right at all sorts of bustling restaurants, terraces and - not unimportantly - a delicious bakery.
