In November 1997, an independent design firm was established: B-architects.
The inspirers Evert Crols, Dirk Engelen and Sven Grooten got to know each other through their studies in Antwerp and Amsterdam.
Ten years after starting B-architecten, together with Sebastiaan Leroy they founded B-bis architects, a second branch within the company that focuses on smaller-scale architectural projects. B-bis also focuses on interior design of homes, offices and shops, devising scenographies for exhibitions and performing arts, temporary installations and furniture design.
Today, B-architects and B-bis have grown naturally into a firm of more than 70 people. Each B-team has its specific focus and way of working, but all share a distinct and innovative outlook on the variety of projects B-platforms faces.
