After studying law at the University of Antwerp, it wasn't enough for Sophie! Curiosity and ambition stretched further. In Ghent, she additionally obtained a master's degree in notarial law. For 12 years, she worked as a notarial lawyer in a notary's office. She mainly managed real estate files.

In January 2015, she switched to a real estate company specialising in the management and rental of office buildings. To keep the "touch" with residential real estate, she monitors all legal aspects for Immodôme.

In daily life, as a mother of three kids, Sophie tries to find a balance between a challenging job and the busy home front. Between football, hockey and ballet lessons, you can find Sophie jogging in the woods, reading on the couch or dining with friends or her husband, Stijn.

“I handle all the legal aspects for Immodôme.”

Well-organised and structured as she is, Sophie brings any legal dilemma to a successful conclusion. She stands her ground and does not mince words.

"Selling a property involves a lot of legal red tape. Collecting the legal data, going through the urban development information, checking the OVAM certificate, the cadastral register and the water test, going over the title deeds and drawing up the compromise. This is very delicate work. After all, you don't buy or sell a property every day! Given my solid notarial background, everyone can rest assured that all legal elements are covered."
