This architectural villa with high less is more content and exceptional sense of space from 1971, just got a worthy new owner. Immodôme and seller Maxime return one more time to the architect's home where architect Bob Janvier spent most of his life.

We presented Maxime and Immodôme broker Katrien with some architectural dilemmas. In the video you will discover all their answers.

Maxime explains why he fell like a log for this unique place, amid the green avenues and lanes of Schilde. 'It is fascinating to know that Bob Janvier lived here almost all his adult life. When we moved in, the place that is now the terracotta-coloured dining room was still his office: painted black, chock-full of filing cabinets and drawn plans...'

'For me, it was a matter of course to preserve the soul of this property as much as possible,' Maxime explains. 'That was something Janvier's heirs attached very great importance to, and rightly so. We tried to preserve his vision as much as possible when we had the house upgraded to 21st-century comfort.'

'As in 1971, the cosy sitting pit with giga fireplace in the middle is still the eye-catcher of the house. The surprisingly original island with the red tiles and the original designer table with matching chairs are also still showpieces that remain inseparable from the house.'

Touching detail: in the garden, you will find another reference to the original occupants, the architect couple themselves, in the form of two concrete sculptures almost touching.

'We renovated this exclusive low-rise villa from head to toe with the finest materials, but you can still feel Bob's spirit in every stone.'
